BROCK 01 – PETER BROCK’s first car
Over the years, Biante has received hundreds of requests for us to produce a model of this car. Now, thanks to the Peter Brock Estate and Peter Brock Foundation, we are able to confirm the development of ‘Brock 01’ in 1:18 scale. Orders are now being invited from our retailers, and we expect demand to be huge. It may not have been released first, but this car is the true beginning of any Peter Brock Collection.

1996 saw the young Craig Lowndes stamp his authority all over the Australian Touring Car Championship by claiming victory not onl6y in the Sandown 500 and Bathurst but the overall championship as well, driving for the Holden Racing Team. In his first full year of competition Craig equaled the previous achievement of his team mate and mentor Peter Brock, who achieved the triple in 1978 and 1980.

Ask anyone which cars they remember most from the early 80’s Group C touring car racing and surely near the top of the list will be the 1984 Holden Dealer Team VK Commodores in their dayglo red/orange and white colour scheme. Biante has inspected and measured the car from Peter Champion’s collection … VK #05 has had a total nut and bolt restoration, with most of the work carried out by the people who actually built the car in 1984. To go along with the extremely high standard of detail and workmanship in this new model, our box packaging has also been stepped up a grade with opening lid and team drivers podium presentation photo as they appeared at Bathurst in 1984. A 1:18 scale replica of the actual Scott Aspen helmet that Peter Brock wore is also included, attached to the base plate.

HOLDEN VK COMMODORE – HARVEY / PARSONS – BATHURST RUNNER-UP (1984)
1:18 scale. As a partner to the winning #05 car Biante will also be producing the 2nd place #25 car to complete the 1-2 finish from 1984’s race. John Harvey and David Parsons cemented the domination of HDT in 1984 by bringing their car home in second place in a formation finish but 2 laps behind the dominant #05 car. Tooling changes have been made to reflect the livery and slight mechanical differences between #05 and #25 to ensure accurate representation of the 2nd place finisher. As with #05, #25 will be produced in a special premium display box with opening lid and will be an individually numbered limited edition. Certificates for this item will be signed by John Harvey.
